The tension between the Nordmaling RK and the Mellanström FK players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 5th match minute, Mellanström FK was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Sven-Olof Samuelsson to maneuver through the defense. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Tomas Fernström in the 8th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Malcolm Bolin saved Mellanström FK from getting behind. In the 11th minute, Jim Forsell hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 12 minutes into the match, Tomas Fernström had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Malcolm Bolin. Mellanström FK's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Tomas Fernström was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. Hjalmar Olofsson showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Sven-Olof Samuelsson, who was totally free with the ball in the 18th minute. 19 minutes into the game, Stefan Drewitz was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Nordmaling RK's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Mellanström FK the free kick. A collision led to Nordmaling RK getting a freekick after 19 minutes play. Stefan Drewitz hit a great ball. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Henry Sundström during the 32nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, Mellanström FK's Henry Sundström got a free kick in the 32nd minute. If Tomas Fernström had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 36th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Tomas Fernström came up free with the goalie in the 41st minute, the Nordmaling RK fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Tomas Fernström couldn't finish the play. Charles Strömberg kicked well hit freekick during the 42nd minute of the match. Kjell-Arne Byström was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 43rd played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Tomas Fernström was the one to do the kick off. Erik Lindmark received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 52nd minute. Hjalmar Olofsson tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Roger Bergren sent away a hard shot on goal in the 54th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 55 minutes into the match, Mellanström FK's goal looked a bit too open when Tomas Fernström came free, but Malcolm Bolin reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Erik Lindmark received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 57th minute. Hjalmar Olofsson tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Erik Lindmark had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 59th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Hjalmar Olofsson took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Erik Lindmark, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a defensive mix-up in Mellanström FK's zone, Roger Bergren stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Malcolm Bolin came out of the goal and Roger Bergren tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 69 minutes into the match, Mellanström FK's goal looked a bit too open when Tomas Fernström came free, but Malcolm Bolin reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Tomas Fernström fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 71st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Malcolm Bolin having to interfere. When Jim Forsell fell near the penalty area in the 72nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Mellanström FK's protests and gave Jim Forsell a yellow card for diving instead. Erik Lindmark blasted a shot towards the goal in the 84th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Hjalmar Olofsson having to make a save. Mellanström FK's Sven-Olof Samuelsson got a good chance for a goal in the 85th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Erik Lindmark in the 87th minute of play forced Nordmaling RK's goalkeeper Hjalmar Olofsson to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 91 minutes into the match, Mellanström FK's goal looked a bit too open when Tomas Fernström came free, but Malcolm Bolin reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Roger Bergren had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 92nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 94th minute the ball was on its way in behind Mellanström FK's goalkeeper Malcolm Bolin, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Dennis Vinström kicked well hit freekick during the 96th minute of the match. Hjalmar Olofsson showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Erik Lindmark, who was totally free with the ball in the 97th minute. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Nordmaling RK walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
