In the 17th minute, Alvar Lindman hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 18th minute, Torbjörn Drake sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Tranås's Ivan Jonsson didn't even have to move. Olov Wiklund sent away a hard shot on goal in the 26th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. The audience thought a goal was coming when Olov Wiklund got free with Malcolm Bolin in the 28th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 29th minute, Urban Johansson got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. If Urban Johansson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 39th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 42nd minute the ball was on its way in behind Mellanström FK's goalkeeper Malcolm Bolin, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 47th minute, Jim Forsell hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Sven-Olof Samuelsson stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After 54 minutes of play, Tranås's Urban Johansson made it 3-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Malcolm Bolin was left in no man's land by his defense there! Robin Olsson kicked well hit freekick during the 60th minute of the match. 66 minutes into the game, Jim Forsell was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Mellanström FK's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Tranås the free kick. In the 66th minute, Jim Forsell hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After some fancy dribbling in the 67th minute, Olov Wiklund managed to get in a good position for a shot. Tranås's supporters rose to their feet, but Olov Wiklund was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Malcolm Bolin breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Mellanström FK's Jim Forsell got his second yellow card of the match in the 70th minute. The referee ordered Jim Forsell off the ground. The supporters of Tranås booed when Mellanström FK was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 70 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jim Forsell didn't get a good kick on the ball. After recieving a nice pass, Tranås's Stig-Ove Joensson tried to score from far away in the 71st minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. A hard shot by Charles Strömberg from long distance, 77 minutes into the match, got Ivan Jonsson's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. In the 83rd minute Tranås were awarded a corner. Stig-Ove Joensson went to the cornerflag to take it. After taking down the ball on Tranås's corner Stig-Ove Joensson fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Malcolm Bolin quite easily take care of the ball. In the 85th minute, Stig-Ove Joensson sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Mellanström FK's Malcolm Bolin didn't even have to move. Malcolm Bolin made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Olov Wiklund in the 89th minute of play. 90 minutes into the match, Urban Johansson notched a goal, 4-0, to the right of Mellanström FK's Malcolm Bolin. Malcolm Bolin was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 94th minute, Urban Johansson made a precise shot to the right of Malcolm Bolin. Mellanström FK's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 5-0. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Tranås fully deserved thier win.
