The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. The referee ignored Forsheda IFK's protests and gave Karl-Axel Högberg a yellow card for diving instead. In the 9th minute, Karl-Axel Högberg hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Enebyberg's Vilgot Östman played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Åke Fridlund in the 14th minute of play. Enebyberg's Johannes Hake got a good chance for a goal in the 18th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Ola Nordstedt charged in rather forcefully in the 20th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Ola Nordstedt the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Ola Nordstedt kicked well hit freekick during the 20th minute of the match. Fredrik Eliasson made an important save on a dangerous shot by Sven-Olof Fransson in the 27th minute. Johannes Hake who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 38thth minute tested the skills of Fredrik Eliasson when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Vilgot Östman tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The wind increased when Harald Wallengren made the kick off in the second half. In the 51st minute, Allan Offendahl hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Johannes Hake hit a great freekick 53 minutes into the match. Vilgot Östman showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Karl-Axel Högberg in the 55th minute of the match. The audience was convinced that Johannes Hake's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Fredrik Eliasson was relentless in the 59th minute of the game. Karl-Axel Högberg might have been able to make a better finish in the 94th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Vilgot Östman. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Karl-Axel Högberg ran back to his position shaking his head. Fredrik Norberg got a throw-in 96 minutes in the game and the ball was received by Åke Fridlund. Ola Nordstedt kicked well hit freekick during the 96th minute of the match. The final whistle blew with the score still tied, and both teams left the pitch thinking about the missed chances that could have given their team the win.
