Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Morgan Granqvist kicked off to start the match. 5 minutes into the game, Morgan Granqvist cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-0. Svante Söderström was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After 8 minutes of play, Balsta United's Morgan Granqvist made it 2-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Svante Söderström was left in no man's land by his defense there! Limmared's Svante Söderström proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 10th minute of the match, managed to save Limmared from getting a goal against them. After having played for 14 minutes, Gottfrid Blom managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Limmared's supporters crossed their fingers, but Gottfrid Blom was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Svante Söderström made an important save on a dangerous shot by Axel Martinsson in the 20th minute. Svante Söderström made a fantastic save in the 22nd minute, when Axel Martinsson sent off a good shot on target. After a rather tough play, Balsta United's Stig-Ove Glad got a free kick in the 25th minute. 27 minutes into the game, Balsta United's Pontus Berglund nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Svante Söderström made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-0. Wiktor Klemensson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 31st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 33rd minute, Balsta United's Morgan Granqvist dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 4-0. A collision led to Limmared getting a freekick after 40 minutes play. Patrik Hedberg hit a great ball. If Morgan Granqvist had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 42nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 44th minute, Morgan Granqvist ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Svante Söderström was frozen by the shot and now it was 5-0.
Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Wiktor Klemensson to make the kick off. If Robert Högström had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 52nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 53 minutes into the match, Morgan Granqvist notched a goal, 6-0, to the right of Limmared's Svante Söderström. Svante Söderström was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 58th minute, Wiktor Klemensson ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Kristoffer Westerstrand was frozen by the shot and now it was 6-1. 64 minutes into the match, Limmared's goal looked a bit too open when Emil Samuelsson came free, but Svante Söderström reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Stig-Ove Glad fell near the penalty area in the 66th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Balsta United's protests and gave Stig-Ove Glad a yellow card for diving instead. In the 66th minute, Stig-Ove Glad hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Kristoffer Westerstrand took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gottfrid Blom, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Svante Söderström showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Morgan Granqvist, who was totally free with the ball in the 69th minute. Svante Söderström made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Morgan Granqvist in the 73rd minute of play. Elliott Lundqvist charged in rather forcefully in the 74th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Elliott Lundqvist the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. When Axel Martinsson came up free with the goalie in the 77th minute, the Balsta United fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Axel Martinsson couldn't finish the play. Limmared's Svante Söderström played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Morgan Granqvist in the 79th minute of play. The corner led Balsta United's Joakim Örn to fire away a dangerous shot which Svante Söderström despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. In the 88th match minute, Balsta United was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Morgan Granqvist to maneuver through the defense. Balsta United's Kristoffer Westerstrand proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 90th minute of the match, managed to save Balsta United from getting a goal against them. Morgan Granqvist might have been able to make a better finish in the 92nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Svante Söderström. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Morgan Granqvist ran back to his position shaking his head. Balsta United were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Limmared for a fine match.
