Carl Kellbom received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 4th minute. Gilbert Friberger tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Jan Sundling showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Melker Joensson in the 7th minute of the match. Jan Sundling didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Torbjörn Ahlbeck went, in the 11th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. Krister Söderquist took the ball and in the 15 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Jan Sundling. Jan Sundling dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2. 21 minutes into the match, Västerljung's goal looked a bit too open when Melker Joensson came free, but Jan Sundling reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Torbjörn Ahlbeck received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 24th minute. Jan Sundling tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Torbjörn Ahlbeck sent away a hard shot on goal in the 26th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Jan Sundling made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Torbjörn Ahlbeck in the 30th minute of play. Torbjörn Ahlbeck received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 35th minute. Jan Sundling tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Alf Wallengren fell near the penalty area in the 36th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Västerljung's protests and gave Alf Wallengren a yellow card for diving instead. Alf Wallengren kicked well hit freekick during the 36th minute of the match. After 39 minutes Västerljung's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Daniel Malmgren who took care of the corner kick. A nice corner shot did that Daniel Malmgren got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Jan Sundling quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. When Melker Joensson came up free with the goalie in the 42nd minute, the Hisingens Hunkar fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Melker Joensson couldn't finish the play. After a rather tough play, Västerljung's Alf Wallengren got a free kick in the 46th minute. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Torbjörn Ahlbeck made a kick off. Gilbert Friberger showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Carl Kellbom, who was totally free with the ball in the 51st minute. Torbjörn Ahlbeck could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 54th minute of the match, but Jan Sundling made a huge save. Melker Joensson struck a weak shot in the 59th minute. Jan Sundling didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Hisingens Hunkar. 61 minutes into the match, Västerljung's goal looked a bit too open when Torbjörn Ahlbeck came free, but Jan Sundling reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Jan Sundling made a fantastic save in the 62nd minute, when Melker Joensson sent off a good shot on target. A collision led to Västerljung getting a freekick after 63 minutes play. Carl Kellbom hit a great ball. After having played for 75 minutes, Melker Joensson managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Hisingens Hunkar's supporters crossed their fingers, but Melker Joensson was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Melker Joenssons short, quick shot in the 77thth minute got Jan Sundling to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Melker Joensson struck a weak shot in the 79th minute. Jan Sundling didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Hisingens Hunkar. Jan Sundling made an important save on a dangerous shot by Melker Joensson in the 81st minute. Jan Sundling made a fantastic save in the 85th minute, when Melker Joensson sent off a good shot on target. Torbjörn Ahlbeck received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Jan Sundling came out and tried to block the shot, but Torbjörn Ahlbeck slotted it home off the left post making it 0-3 in the 86th minute. In the 94thth minute of the game Torbjörn Ahlbeck who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Västerljung's Jan Sundling was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball.
