Hjärtum's Christer Ånger suffered a sore thigh after 13 minutes and couldn't finish the game. The supporters of Hjärtum booed when FC Nenzen was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 14 match minutes in a wonderful position. Lars Brolin didn't get a good kick on the ball. 16 minutes into the match, Hjärtum's goalkeeper Fabian Eriksson had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Leonard Andersson. When Leonard Andersson came up free with the goalie in the 18th minute, the FC Nenzen fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Leonard Andersson couldn't finish the play. Fabian Eriksson didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 19th minute, which inside left pole to 1-1. Fabian Eriksson showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Peter Svanér in the 23rd minute of the match. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Sören Melberg during the 28th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. FC Nenzen's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Lars Brolin in the 43rd minute. After taking down the ball on FC Nenzen's corner Lars Brolin fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Fabian Eriksson quite easily take care of the ball. If Peter Svanér had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 47th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

If Leonard Andersson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 58th minute. In the 88th minute, Karl-Åke Pedersson fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. Alexander Nordin sent away a hard shot on goal in the 90th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 96 minutes into the match, Peter Svanér had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Fabian Eriksson. Hjärtum's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Peter Svanér was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-2. The final whistle blew with the score still tied, and both teams left the pitch thinking about the missed chances that could have given their team the win.
