Sundsbruk BF's Frank Klintæus got a good chance for a goal in the 23rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When Göran Fristedt fell near the penalty area in the 29th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Sundsbruk BF's protests and gave Göran Fristedt a yellow card for diving instead. Göran Fristedt kicked well hit freekick during the 30th minute of the match. Silverfatet's Kaj Nordin got a good chance for a goal in the 31st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Göran Fristedt the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Sundsbruk BF protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Göran Fristedt had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. After 41 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Sundsbruk BF! Af the end of the first half the score was 2-1. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

Bo Bengtsson made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Lars Vallengren in the 80th minute of play. Frank Klintæus could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 82nd minute of the match, but Samuel Falkrantz made a huge save. Lars Vallengren succeeded in the game's 86th minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 5-1.
