Spectators: 7339 (Terracing: 5506, Seating: 1688, VIP seats: 145) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Karl-Axel Sjöberg started the match with the kick off. Marko Finnman who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 4thth minute tested the skills of Egil Trillkott when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Marko Finnman in the 29thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Egil Trillkott, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Nicklas Bratt made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Karl-Axel Sjöberg in the 32nd minute of play. After a rather tough play, Karlsborg BK's Ludwig Tillman got a free kick in the 32nd minute. Karl-Axel Sjöberg sent away a hard shot on goal in the 35th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Nicklas Bratt made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Karl-Axel Sjöberg in the 37th minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Kenneth Backman in the 38th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Nicklas Bratt saved Karlsborg BK from getting behind. In the 45th minute, Kenneth Backman left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Avesta fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

Nicklas Bratt made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Karl-Axel Sjöberg in the 53rd minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Avesta's zone, Tord Ödman stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Egil Trillkott came out of the goal and Tord Ödman tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Karl-Axel Sjöberg blasted a shot towards the goal in the 61st minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Nicklas Bratt having to make a save. Edvin Johnsson kicked well hit freekick during the 62nd minute of the match. Boris Forsman, 63 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. Nicklas Bratt took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Karl-Axel Sjöberg, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The supporters of Avesta booed when Karlsborg BK was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 68 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jonas Samuelsson didn't get a good kick on the ball. Karl-Axel Sjöberg fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 72nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nicklas Bratt having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Karlsborg BK's zone, Kenneth Backman stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Nicklas Bratt came out of the goal and Kenneth Backman tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Karl-Axel Sjöberg received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 81st minute. Nicklas Bratt tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Kenneth Backman recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 86th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Nicklas Bratt took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Karl-Axel Sjöberg, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After having played for 90 minutes, Tord Ödman managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Karlsborg BK's supporters crossed their fingers, but Tord Ödman was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After 93 minutes, Eric Jonasson mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Avesta and the Karlsborg BK players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 94 played minutes Avesta got a freekick which was hit by Eric Jonasson. A nice corner shot did that Ludwig Tillman got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Egil Trillkott quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Avesta played a much better game than Karlsborg BK and deserved their victory. The Karlsborg BK players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
