But to his dismay, Karl-Axel Sjöberg quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. In the 31st minute, Charles Bergstedt hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Samuel Falkrantz showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Kenneth Backman, who was totally free with the ball in the 37th minute. Lars Vallengren was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 42nd minute. Silverfatet's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. In the 42nd minute, Richard Enegren left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Silverfatet fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-1. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Lars Vallengren to strike the kick off in the second half. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Silverfatet.
