After a defensive mix-up in Sundsbruk BF's zone, Marko Finnman stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Bo Bengtsson came out of the goal and Marko Finnman tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Bo Bengtsson didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 25th minute, which inside left pole to 1-0. Jonas Samuelsson charged in rather forcefully in the 27th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Jonas Samuelsson the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 27 played minutes Karlsborg BK got a freekick which was hit by Jonas Samuelsson. With his leg Bo Bengtsson managed to avoid a goal in the 30thth minute, when Karlsborg BK's Tord Ödman fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Tord Ödman might have been able to make a better finish in the 33rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Bo Bengtsson. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Tord Ödman ran back to his position shaking his head. Bo Bengtsson made a fantastic save in the 35th minute, when Marko Finnman sent off a good shot on target. After 41 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Sundsbruk BF! In the 44th minute there was a penalty for Karlsborg BK. Ludwig Tillman stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Bo Bengtsson. 2-0.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Albert Bammerman was the one to do the kick off. In the 58th minute the ball was on its way in behind Karlsborg BK's goalkeeper Nicklas Bratt, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Albert Bammerman fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 60th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nicklas Bratt having to interfere. Marko Finnman received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 77th minute. Bo Bengtsson tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Albert Bammerman's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Nicklas Bratt read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 82nd minute of play.
