Åryd's Karl-Ove Klack tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Holger Hedbom charged in rather forcefully in the 25th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Holger Hedbom the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Sexdrega booed when Åryd was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 25 match minutes in a wonderful position. Holger Hedbom didn't get a good kick on the ball. Pelle Clementsson fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 27th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Karl-Ove Klack having to interfere. Pelle Clementsson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 32nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Karl-Ove Klack took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Pelle Clementsson, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After some fancy dribbling in the 41st minute, Holger Hedbom managed to get in a good position for a shot. Åryd's supporters rose to their feet, but Holger Hedbom was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Jonathan Apelquist breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. An unexpectedly hard shot by Kjell Rosendahl in the 47th minute of play forced Åryd's goalkeeper Karl-Ove Klack to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Pelle Clementsson made a kick off. After some fancy dribbling in the 53rd minute, Holger Hedbom managed to get in a good position for a shot. Åryd's supporters rose to their feet, but Holger Hedbom was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. An unexpectedly hard shot by Isaac Berglund in the 56th minute of play forced Sexdrega's goalkeeper Jonathan Apelquist to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Edvin Ahlroth's late challenge caught a Åryd's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. In the 75th minute Holger Hedbom shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jonathan Apelquist saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 76 minutes into the game, Felix Gullesson was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Jonathan Apelquist showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Isaac Berglund, who was totally free with the ball in the 83rd minute. If Kjell Rosendahl had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 84th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 91st minute the ball was on its way in behind Åryd's goalkeeper Karl-Ove Klack, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. The shot was stopped by Karl-Ove Klack but with some difficulty. The final whistle blew with the score still tied, and both teams left the pitch thinking about the missed chances that could have given their team the win.
