Jan Sikström took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Nils Clementsson, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 10 minutes into the match, Dismay Academy's goal looked a bit too open when Nils Clementsson came free, but Jan Sikström reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Carl Sjöberg made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Vilhelm Bock in the 13th minute of play. Carl Sjöberg came out of the goal in the 14th minute to try and stop a shot by Dismay Academy's Joacim Westerberg. But to his dismay, Joacim Westerberg quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. 19 minutes into the match, IFK Göteborg's goal looked a bit too open when Rikard Lundhberg came free, but Carl Sjöberg reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 33rd minute, IFK Göteborg's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Gabriel Stephansson fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Vilhelm Bock received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 35th minute. Carl Sjöberg tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The Dismay Academy fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Jan Sikström should have stopped the shot. Carl Sjöberg made an important save on a dangerous shot by Rikard Lundhberg in the 43rd minute.

Rikard Lundhberg struck a weak shot in the 52nd minute. Carl Sjöberg didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Dismay Academy.
