Jens-Erik Thidén received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 3rd minute. Christian Nyberg tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 13th match minute, VT if was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Alexander Hegg to maneuver through the defense. Folke Lekberg received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 14th minute. Urban Deckberg tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Urban Deckberg was a little too slow when Bengt-Åke Lindkvist got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 19th minute. The score was now 1-0. If Börje Hökqvist had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 22nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Mats Wallin received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 27th minute. Christian Nyberg tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mats Wallin in the 31st minute of play forced Malmberg City FC's goalkeeper Christian Nyberg to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Malmberg City FC's Christian Nyberg played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mats Wallin in the 32nd minute of play. In the 33rd match minute, Malmberg City FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Edwin Hellqvist to maneuver through the defense. After a defensive mix-up in VT if's zone, Harald Bergman stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Urban Deckberg came out of the goal and Harald Bergman tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 40 minutes, Alexander Hegg mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the VT if and the Malmberg City FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. Alexander Hegg hit a great freekick 40 minutes into the match. When Folke Lekberg came up free with the goalie in the 42nd minute, the Malmberg City FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Folke Lekberg couldn't finish the play. VT if's Urban Deckberg played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Börje Hökqvist in the 44th minute of play. Anthon Deckbergh sent away a hard shot on goal in the 45th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. VT if's Urban Deckberg proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 47th minute of the match, managed to save VT if from getting a goal against them. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

Folke Lekberg took the ball and in the 54 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Urban Deckberg. Urban Deckberg dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-0. Folke Lekberg received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 58th minute. Urban Deckberg tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Bengt-Åke Lindkvist sent away a hard shot on goal in the 64th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Bengt-Åke Lindkvist took the ball and in the 64 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Urban Deckberg. Urban Deckberg dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-0. Edwin Hellqvist sent away a hard shot on goal in the 71st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 73rd minute, Folke Lekberg got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. When the match clock showed 74 minutes, the score became 4-0 when Edwin Hellqvist sped through VT if's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Urban Deckberg. Urban Deckberg made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Edwin Hellqvist in the 78th minute of play. After 80 minutes of play VT if's Alexander Hegg was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. In the 80th match minute, VT if was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Alexander Hegg to maneuver through the defense. Folke Lekberg recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 83rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 85 minutes into the match, Edwin Hellqvist had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Urban Deckberg. VT if's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Edwin Hellqvist was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 5-0. 89 minutes into the match, VT if's goal looked a bit too open when Börje Hökqvist came free, but Urban Deckberg reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Bengt-Åke Lindkvist had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 93rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.
