Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Andreas Kinnman in the 5th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Urban Deckberg prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 7th minute Andreas Kinnman shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Urban Deckberg saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. VT if's Urban Deckberg proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 10th minute of the match, managed to save VT if from getting a goal against them. In the 10th match minute, VT if was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Alexander Hegg to maneuver through the defense. In the 12th minute, Andreas Kinnman fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. VT if's Urban Deckberg played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Andreas Kinnman in the 14th minute of play. 17 minutes into the match, VT if's goalkeeper Urban Deckberg had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Per Sandberg. 18 minutes into the match, Sjösatorg's Andreas Kinnman sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Urban Deckberg narrowly saved just below the crossbar. VT if's Urban Deckberg played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Andreas Kinnman in the 21st minute of play. Per Sandberg received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 22nd minute. Urban Deckberg tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After having played for 24 minutes, Andreas Kinnman managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Sjösatorg's supporters crossed their fingers, but Andreas Kinnman was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Andreas Kinnman fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 28th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Urban Deckberg having to interfere. Per-Åke Arhenius made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mats Wallin in the 34th minute of play. In the 35th match minute, Sjösatorg was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Christer Ekgren to maneuver through the defense. Zebastian Odén received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 45th minute. Per-Åke Arhenius tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Zebastian Odén to make the kick off. Charlie Pil hit a great freekick 54 minutes into the match. Zebastian Nyberg took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 56th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Per-Åke Arhenius. Sjösatorg's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. If Mats Wallin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 60th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. 63 minutes into the match, Sjösatorg's goal looked a bit too open when Zebastian Odén came free, but Per-Åke Arhenius reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Mats Wallin might have been able to make a better finish in the 65th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Per-Åke Arhenius. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Mats Wallin ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 67th minute, Alexander Hegg hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 69th minute, Christer Ekgren hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 70 minutes into the match, Mats Wallin dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Per-Åke Arhenius, 0-1. After 74 played minutes Sjösatorg got a freekick which was hit by Joachim Jonasson. Mats Wallin received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 77th minute. Per-Åke Arhenius tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. A collision led to Sjösatorg getting a freekick after 90 minutes play. Charlie Pil hit a great ball. The VT if players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
