If Christopher Bengtsson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 14th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ernst Skoog showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Harry Västerstrand in the 17th minute of the match. The audience was convinced that Christopher Bengtsson's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Åke Lindholm was relentless in the 19th minute of the game. Rune Jernberg was slow to take the kick. During this time Mjällom BF's players had a chance to rest. The corner led Mjällom BF's Rune Jernberg to fire away a dangerous shot which Åke Lindholm despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. 42 minutes into the match, Harry Västerstrand had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Ernst Skoog. Mjällom BF's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Harry Västerstrand was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. Christopher Bengtsson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 45th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Ingvar Olsson fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 86th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ernst Skoog having to interfere. 88 minutes into the match, Skarplöt FF's goal looked a bit too open when Christopher Bengtsson came free, but Åke Lindholm reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.
