When Pontus Kilström came up free with the goalie in the 16th minute, the IFK Strömsund fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Pontus Kilström couldn't finish the play. Otto Eriksson showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Rudolf Axelsson in the 25th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Pontus Kilström in the 27th minute of play forced Jukitor Rangers's goalkeeper Otto Eriksson to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After having played for 29 minutes, Pontus Kilström managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. IFK Strömsund's supporters crossed their fingers, but Pontus Kilström was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Rudolf Axelsson fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 37th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Otto Eriksson having to interfere. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Bengt-Arne Lägdin to make the kick off. The supporters of Jukitor Rangers booed when IFK Strömsund was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 54 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jonatan Dusett didn't get a good kick on the ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Gösta Lekberg in the 67th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Jens-Erik Klintæus prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Pontus Kilström in the 74thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Otto Eriksson, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Otto Eriksson made an important save on a dangerous shot by Pontus Kilström in the 80th minute. A collision led to Jukitor Rangers getting a freekick after 84 minutes play. Göran Siggman hit a great ball. Jens-Erik Klintæus made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bengt-Arne Lägdin in the 87th minute of play. Pär Högström received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 88th minute. Jens-Erik Klintæus tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Isaac Cane kicked well hit freekick during the 89th minute of the match. Rudolf Axelsson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 93rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out.
