The crowd rose to their feet as Oden FC's Tage Dusett slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Bo Håkansson. That made the score 1-0 after 5 minutes of play. After a defensive mix-up in Linghed BF's zone, Tage Dusett stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Bo Håkansson came out of the goal and Tage Dusett tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Torsten Apelkvist sent away a hard shot on goal in the 12th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Torsten Apelkvist received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 15th minute. Bo Håkansson tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 21st minute Tage Dusett shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bo Håkansson saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 21st match minute, Linghed BF was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Rune Kock to maneuver through the defense. Oden FC's Torsten Apelkvist got a good chance for a goal in the 24th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Torsten Apelkvist struck a weak shot in the 26th minute. If Torsten Apelkvist had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 36th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 42nd minute, Torsten Apelkvist ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Bo Håkansson was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-1. When Torsten Apelkvist came up free with the goalie in the 45th minute, the Oden FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Torsten Apelkvist couldn't finish the play. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-1 at half-time.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Tage Dusett made a kick off. After a rather tough play, Oden FC's Ove Lindström got a free kick in the 55th minute. Victor Jernberg received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 58th minute. Allan Mårtensson tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 65th match minute, Oden FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Urban Myr to maneuver through the defense. Bo Håkansson showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Torsten Apelkvist, who was totally free with the ball in the 68th minute.
