Viktor Hedling was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 4 minutes into the match. 3 minutes into the game, one of Junior BK:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Alexander Pavić during the 11th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 11th match minute, Junior BK was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Alexander Pavić to maneuver through the defense. In the 12th minute of the match Nils Forsberg sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Göran Pihlberg skillfully saved the ball. Göran Pihlberg showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Sven-Ove Ekblom, who was totally free with the ball in the 19th minute. 23 minutes into the match, Junior BK's goal looked a bit too open when Anton Mattsson came free, but Göran Pihlberg reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 27 minutes into the match, Junior BK's goal looked a bit too open when Fritz Henriksson came free, but Göran Pihlberg reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Junior BK's Gösta Ahlfors quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. Gösta Ahlfors fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 39th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jerry Stålman having to interfere. Alexander Pavić received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 41st minute. Jerry Stålman tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Junior BK's attentive Gösta Ahlfors managed to snatch the ball when Staffan Dahlman made a throw-in in the 43rd minute of the game. Jerry Stålman showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gösta Ahlfors in the 44th minute of the match. After a rather tough play, Sjöbo's Alf Grönberg got a free kick in the 44th minute. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

In the 52nd minute of the game Alf Grönberg made a throw-in which Sven-Ove Ekblom played forward. After 54 minutes, Gösta Ahlfors mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Junior BK and the Sjöbo players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 54 played minutes Junior BK got a freekick which was hit by Gösta Ahlfors. Sture Lang missed a clear chance of a goal when in the 56 minute of the game fired away a shot, but unfortunally the ball went out to the Jerry Stålman right hand side. If Sture Lang had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 62nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After some careless play in the Junior BK defense, Alf Grönberg kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Göran Pihlberg. The Junior BK fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Göran Pihlberg should have stopped the shot. Göran Pihlberg made an important save on a dangerous shot by Sven-Ove Ekblom in the 68th minute. Junior BK's Göran Pihlberg proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 76th minute of the match, managed to save Junior BK from getting a goal against them. After a defensive mix-up in Sjöbo's zone, Sture Lang stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jerry Stålman came out of the goal and Sture Lang tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Sture Lang received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 83rd minute. Jerry Stålman tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Junior BK's Gösta Ahlfors got a good chance for a goal in the 85th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Alexander Pavić recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 86th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Sture Lang scored 1-1 in the 89th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Jerry Stålman, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Robin Cuba kicked well hit freekick during the 94th minute of the match. When Sjöbo's Fritz Henriksson in the 95th minute got a chance for a shot 95th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Junior BK's goalie prevented a goal. Jeers came from both ends of the stadium when the final whistle went. Neither team had looked impressive and the draw seeemd a fair result.
