Ted Lindholm showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Walter Ekeberg in the 18th minute of the match. Walter Ekeberg might have been able to make a better finish in the 20th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Ted Lindholm. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Walter Ekeberg ran back to his position shaking his head. With a little luck, Ystad's Ted Lindholm got control of the ball when Sven-Arne Lövskog tried to sneak it across the goal line. 28 minutes into the match, Ystad's goal looked a bit too open when Walter Ekeberg came free, but Ted Lindholm reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Kenny Hjelm sent away a hard shot on goal in the 30th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Kvillsfors FF's Sven-Arne Lövskog got a good chance for a goal in the 42nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 44 minutes into the match, Kvillsfors FF's Ronny Nilsson sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Ted Lindholm narrowly saved just below the crossbar. 46 minutes into the match, Ystad's goalkeeper Ted Lindholm had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Ronny Nilsson. After 46 minutes, Edward Jansson mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Ystad and the Kvillsfors FF players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to Ystad getting a freekick after 47 minutes play. Edward Jansson hit a great ball. Walter Ekeberg fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 48th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ted Lindholm having to interfere. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

If Ronny Nilsson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 58th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The audience thought a goal was coming when Carl Brask got free with Gustav Säf in the 63rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Edmund Lindholm's late challenge caught a Ystad's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Edmund Lindholm helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Kvillsfors FF getting a freekick after 64 minutes play. Edmund Lindholm hit a great ball. After having played for 74 minutes, Kenny Hjelm managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ystad's supporters crossed their fingers, but Kenny Hjelm was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Karl-Axel Forsberg looked confident and blasted the ball into goal by the left post, totally unstoppable for Gustav Säf. If Walter Ekeberg had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 87th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Carl Brask could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 93rd minute of the match, but Gustav Säf made a huge save. After a defensive mix-up in Kvillsfors FF's zone, Kenny Hjelm stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Gustav Säf came out of the goal and Kenny Hjelm tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 98 played minutes Kvillsfors FF got a freekick which was hit by Lukas Gunnarsson. The Kvillsfors FF supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Ystad's performance. The match ended with a win for Ystad.
