The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 2nd minute Pär Wallin shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Leonardo Ingemarsson saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Lullo CF's Harald Smitt got a good chance for a goal in the 4th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The audience thought a goal was coming when Fredrik Jernberg got free with Harry Hedbom in the 8th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Hjalmar Lägdin struck a weak shot in the 15th minute. Leonardo Ingemarsson didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Säffle. Henry Snäll sent away a hard shot on goal in the 18th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Henry Snäll in the 22nd minute of play forced Lullo CF's goalkeeper Leonardo Ingemarsson to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Lullo CF's Harald Smitt got a good chance for a goal in the 24th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Evert Lundin kicked well hit freekick during the 33rd minute of the match. In the 34th minute, Agne Zander sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Säffle's Harry Hedbom didn't even have to move. Harry Hedbom made a fantastic save in the 37th minute, when Fredrik Jernberg sent off a good shot on target. Harald Smitt sent away a hard shot on goal in the 38th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Fredrik Jernberg received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 40th minute. Harry Hedbom tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 44 minutes into the match, Fredrik Jernberg had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Harry Hedbom. Säffle's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Fredrik Jernberg was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-0.

Harry Hedbom stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Ove Andreasson's shot from short distance in the 53rd minute. When Fredrik Jernberg came up free with the goalie in the 55th minute, the Lullo CF fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Fredrik Jernberg couldn't finish the play. Harald Smitt sent away a hard shot on goal in the 57th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After having played for 59 minutes, Fredrik Jernberg managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Lullo CF's supporters crossed their fingers, but Fredrik Jernberg was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 62 minutes into the game, one of Säffle:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. After a defensive mix-up in Säffle's zone, Harald Smitt stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Harry Hedbom came out of the goal and Harald Smitt tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Harald Smitt blasted a shot towards the goal in the 71st minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Harry Hedbom having to make a save. Harry Hedbom showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Harald Smitt in the 75th minute of the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 81st minute, Fredrik Jernberg managed to get in a good position for a shot. Lullo CF's supporters rose to their feet, but Fredrik Jernberg was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Harry Hedbom breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After 82 played minutes Säffle got a freekick which was hit by Joseph Bengtsson. After some fancy dribbling in the 85th minute, Fredrik Jernberg managed to get in a good position for a shot. Lullo CF's supporters rose to their feet, but Fredrik Jernberg was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Harry Hedbom breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Harald Smitt fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 87th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Harry Hedbom having to interfere. Harry Hedbom made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Fredrik Jernberg in the 91st minute of play. Harry Hedbom showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Harald Smitt in the 92nd minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in Säffle's zone, Fredrik Jernberg stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Harry Hedbom came out of the goal and Fredrik Jernberg tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Evert Lundin's late challenge caught a Lullo CF's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Evert Lundin helped the player get up and apologised. Evert Lundin kicked well hit freekick during the 96th minute of the match. The supporters of Lullo CF booed when Säffle was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 97 match minutes in a wonderful position. Joseph Bengtsson didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 98th minute, Agne Zander sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Säffle's Harry Hedbom didn't even have to move.
