The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. 4 minutes into the match, John Lindqvist had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Leonardo Ingemarsson. Lullo CF's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that John Lindqvist was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. If John Lindqvist had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 8th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Leonardo Ingemarsson took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Arvin Björklund, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 30 minutes into the match, FC Slangarna's goal looked a bit too open when Harald Smitt came free, but Leif Berglund reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The supporters of FC Slangarna booed when Lullo CF was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 34 match minutes in a wonderful position. Christer Olsson didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 37th minute, Ove Andreasson reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Leif Berglund. The goal made the score 1-1. In the 41st minute Harald Smitt shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Leif Berglund saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Fredrik Jernberg fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 46th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Leif Berglund having to interfere. FC Slangarna's Leif Berglund played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Harald Smitt in the 48th minute of play. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Arvin Björklund stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Harald Smitt's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Leif Berglund read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 58th minute of play. Fredrik Jernberg sent away a hard shot on goal in the 64th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Leonardo Ingemarsson didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for FC Slangarna. Harald Smitt's late challenge caught a FC Slangarna's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Harald Smitt helped the player get up and apologised. Harald Smitt hit a great freekick 78 minutes into the match. Fredrik Jernberg fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 81st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Leif Berglund having to interfere. Leif Berglund showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Fredrik Jernberg in the 83rd minute of the match. When Fredrik Jernberg came up free with the goalie in the 88th minute, the Lullo CF fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Fredrik Jernberg couldn't finish the play. Lullo CF walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
