Ulf Fransson made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Olov Sundström in the 30th minute of play. Folke Albohm hit a great freekick 30 minutes into the match. When Stig-Ove Bergqvist came up free with the goalie in the 34th minute, the Alingsås FK fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Stig-Ove Bergqvist couldn't finish the play. The crowd rose to their feet as Per-Oskar Nilsson kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Bernt Odén. That made the score 2-0 in the 40 minute of play. The supporters of Alingsås FK booed when Viskafors IFK was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 44 match minutes in a wonderful position. Victor Haström didn't get a good kick on the ball. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-0 at half-time.

With a couple of smart ball manuevers Per-Oskar Nilsson in the 51st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Bernt Odén saved Viskafors IFK from getting behind. Bernt Odén showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Per-Oskar Nilsson, who was totally free with the ball in the 62nd minute. In the 78th minute the ball was on its way in behind Viskafors IFK's goalkeeper Bernt Odén, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar.
