Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Jonathan Bocklund in the 9th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Karl-Michael Abrahamsson prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Åke Ström showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Pål Wennerquist in the 11th minute of the match. Öregrund's Ingmar Wik got a good chance for a goal in the 12th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When Jonathan Bocklund came up free with the goalie in the 16th minute, the Nya Frej fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Jonathan Bocklund couldn't finish the play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Adrian Haraldsson in the 25th minute of play forced Öregrund's goalkeeper Karl-Michael Abrahamsson to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Pål Wennerquist blasted a shot towards the goal in the 28th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Åke Ström having to make a save. Jonathan Bocklund sent away a hard shot on goal in the 35th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Karl-Michael Abrahamsson was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

Holger Stabbe took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 53rd minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Karl-Michael Abrahamsson. Ingmar Nässén's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Karl-Michael Abrahamsson read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 61st minute of play. Nya Frej's Ingmar Nässén was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Karl-Michael Abrahamsson in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. The audience thought a goal was coming when Jonathan Bocklund got free with Karl-Michael Abrahamsson in the 65th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Jonathan Bocklund in the 67thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Egon Larsson hit a great freekick 90 minutes into the match. In the 91st minute of the match Calle Ström sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Åke Ström skillfully saved the ball. Karl-Michael Abrahamsson stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Jonathan Bocklund's shot from short distance in the 95th minute. Nya Frej's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
