Spectators: 7321 (Terracing: 5492, Seating: 1684, VIP seats: 145) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Henric Biörkquist started the match with the kick off. If Gottfrid Carlsson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 2nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 4th minute, Roger Vester hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Alvin Lilja recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 5th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 7th match minute, Karlholmsbruk IFK was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gottfrid Carlsson to maneuver through the defense. 8 minutes into the match, Karlholmsbruk IFK's goal looked a bit too open when Henric Biörkquist came free, but Tomas Fastesson reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a rather tough play, Karlholmsbruk IFK's Harry Kjellbom got a free kick in the 9th minute. Tomas Fastesson made an important save on a dangerous shot by Fritz Västberg in the 11th minute. 12 minutes into the game, one of Hrvatski Nogometni Savez:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. In the 18th minute, Stig-Arne Hagberg ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Ralf Björkman was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2. A collision led to Hrvatski Nogometni Savez getting a freekick after 28 minutes play. Per-Arne Linberg hit a great ball. Stig-Arne Hagberg took the ball and in the 29 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Ralf Björkman. Ralf Björkman dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-3. When Harry Kjellbom fell near the penalty area in the 31st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Karlholmsbruk IFK's protests and gave Harry Kjellbom a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Hrvatski Nogometni Savez booed when Karlholmsbruk IFK was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 33 match minutes in a wonderful position. Adrian Mickelsson didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Fritz Västberg had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 35th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ralf Björkman stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Gottfrid Carlsson's shot from short distance in the 44th minute.

The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Stig-Arne Hagberg during the 51st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Stig-Arne Hagberg hit a great freekick 51 minutes into the match. Stig-Arne Hagberg sent away a hard shot on goal in the 54th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 56th minute, Fritz Västberg left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Hrvatski Nogometni Savez fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-4. Gottfrid Carlsson came free with the goalkeeper in the 59th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Ralf Björkman could save by the left post. Ralf Björkman took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Stig-Arne Hagberg, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Gottfrid Carlsson fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 62nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ralf Björkman having to interfere. With his leg Ralf Björkman managed to avoid a goal in the 67thth minute, when Karlholmsbruk IFK's Gottfrid Carlsson fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. In the 70th minute, Gottfrid Carlsson made a precise shot to the right of Ralf Björkman. Hrvatski Nogometni Savez's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-5. 74 minutes into the game, Gottfrid Carlsson recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Ralf Björkman. Gottfrid Carlsson showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-6. With a little luck, Hrvatski Nogometni Savez's Ralf Björkman got control of the ball when Gottfrid Carlsson tried to sneak it across the goal line. Stig-Arne Hagberg received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 83rd minute. Ralf Björkman tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When the match had gone on for 85 minutes, Stig-Arne Hagberg put it in 1-7 from a short distance just to the right of Ralf Björkman. Karlholmsbruk IFK's Adrian Mickelsson got a good chance for a goal in the 92nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar.
