An unexpectedly hard shot by Paul Olenberg in the 5th minute of play forced Borås GIF's goalkeeper Jens-Ove Söderqvist to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 5th minute, Emanuel Vibjörnsson hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Viktor Pettersson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 8th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ulf Sandell in the 10th minute of play forced Borås GIF's goalkeeper Jens-Ove Söderqvist to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Peder Rudkvist took the ball and in the 19 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Ture Palmkvist. Ture Palmkvist dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-0. In the 25th minute, Viktor Pettersson ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Jens-Ove Söderqvist was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. After 34 minutes, Stig-Åke Linquist made it 2-2 with a short kick to the right side. Bagis Finest's Ture Palmkvist tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. 42 minutes in the game, Peder Rudkvist fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Ture Palmkvist having to interfere. Stig-Åke Linquist blasted a shot towards the goal in the 42nd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Ture Palmkvist having to make a save. After a defensive mix-up in Bagis Finest's zone, Peder Rudkvist stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ture Palmkvist came out of the goal and Peder Rudkvist tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Stig-Åke Linquist got free with Ture Palmkvist in the 44th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort.

The wind increased when Stig-Åke Linquist made the kick off in the second half. Rune Öberg's late challenge caught a Bagis Finest's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Rune Öberg helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Borås GIF getting a freekick after 51 minutes play. Rune Öberg hit a great ball. Jens-Ove Söderqvist was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Paul Olenberg showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 2-3 in the 53 minute of play. In the 62nd minute, Peder Rudkvist fired away an extremely well hit free kick, but unfortunately the ball went just outside to the right hand side of Ture Palmkvist. The audience was convinced that Stig-Åke Linquist's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Ture Palmkvist was relentless in the 72nd minute of the game. The supporters of Borås GIF booed when Bagis Finest was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 73 match minutes in a wonderful position. Brian Lindgren didn't get a good kick on the ball. Borås GIF's supporters crossed their fingers, but Gert Kaxe was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Emanuel Vibjörnsson blasted a shot towards the goal in the 81st minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Ture Palmkvist having to make a save. Richard Billström's late challenge caught a Borås GIF's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Richard Billström hit a great freekick 82 minutes into the match. 84 minutes into the match, Peder Rudkvist notched a goal, 3-3, to the right of Bagis Finest's Ture Palmkvist. Ture Palmkvist was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. When Emanuel Vibjörnsson came up free with the goalie in the 88th minute, the Borås GIF fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Emanuel Vibjörnsson couldn't finish the play. The teams fought very hard right up to the final whistle. Both sets of players were happy to go away with a draw.
