Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Desperados FC's Birger Trillkott started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 4th minute, Jens Knutsson hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Stig-Åke Linquist kicked well hit freekick during the 11th minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in Desperados FC's zone, Emanuel Vibjörnsson stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Tor Lindström came out of the goal and Emanuel Vibjörnsson tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 15 minutes into the match, Borås GIF's goal looked a bit too open when Börje Pedersson came free, but Jens-Ove Söderqvist reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 15 played minutes Borås GIF got a freekick which was hit by Emanuel Vibjörnsson. Jens-Ove Söderqvist showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Birger Trillkott, who was totally free with the ball in the 20th minute. Rune Öberg's late challenge caught a Desperados FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Rune Öberg helped the player get up and apologised. After 23 played minutes Borås GIF got a freekick which was hit by Rune Öberg. 28 minutes into the match, Desperados FC's goal looked a bit too open when Peder Rudkvist came free, but Tor Lindström reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Stig-Åke Linquist might have been able to make a better finish in the 32nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Tor Lindström. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Stig-Åke Linquist ran back to his position shaking his head. When the match had gone on for 37 minutes, Stig-Åke Linquist took a quick shot and it went in 1-0 without a chance for Tor Lindström to make any attempt to save it. In the 40th minute, Peder Rudkvist got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After a rather tough play, Borås GIF's Emanuel Vibjörnsson got a free kick in the 44th minute. 47 minutes into the game, Desperados FC's Börje Pedersson nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Jens-Ove Söderqvist made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Stig-Åke Linquist made a kick off. With a little luck, Borås GIF's Jens-Ove Söderqvist got control of the ball when Gustaf Lange tried to sneak it across the goal line. After a rather tough play, Borås GIF's Emanuel Vibjörnsson got a free kick in the 54th minute. In the 56th minute, Emanuel Vibjörnsson got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Emanuel Vibjörnsson fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 58th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tor Lindström having to interfere. Emanuel Vibjörnsson received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 67th minute. Tor Lindström tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 69th minute, Emanuel Vibjörnsson hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpectedly hard shot by Birger Trillkott in the 71st minute of play forced Borås GIF's goalkeeper Jens-Ove Söderqvist to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 72 minutes into the match, Sven-Ove Nyström dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Jens-Ove Söderqvist, 2-2. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Christer Ambjörnsson during the 76th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Desperados FC booed when Borås GIF was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 77 match minutes in a wonderful position. Christer Ambjörnsson didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 80th minute of the match, Börje Pedersson got a very nice opportunity to score, but Jens-Ove Söderqvist was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. In the 81st minute, Desperados FC's Gustaf Lange ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Jens-Ove Söderqvist. Jens-Ove Söderqvist yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 2-3. In the 91st minute Emanuel Vibjörnsson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tor Lindström saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Tor Lindström showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Peder Rudkvist in the 92nd minute of the match. Emanuel Vibjörnsson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 94th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The Desperados FC players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
