The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Christopher Stenkvist struck a weak shot in the 3rd minute. Stig-Åke Kielberg didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Snespark united. In the 5thth minute of the game Bertil Gunnarsson who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Skinnskatteberg's Stig-Åke Kielberg was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. When Snespark united's Bertil Gunnarsson in the 7th minute got a chance for a shot 7th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Skinnskatteberg's goalie prevented a goal. After a rather tough play, Skinnskatteberg's Albert Kruuse got a free kick in the 8th minute. In the 12th minute Bertil Gunnarsson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Stig-Åke Kielberg saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 22nd minute, Christopher Stenkvist ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Stig-Åke Kielberg was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-0. Stig-Åke Kielberg made an important save on a dangerous shot by Christopher Stenkvist in the 27th minute. In the 28th minute, Tobias Forssberg hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Bertil Gunnarsson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 38th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After some fancy dribbling in the 42nd minute, Martin Back managed to get in a good position for a shot. Skinnskatteberg's supporters rose to their feet, but Martin Back was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Bernt Drake breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Bertil Gunnarsson made a kick off. Snespark united's Bernt Drake played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Martin Back in the 54th minute of play. Brian Ström recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 56th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After a rather tough play, Snespark united's Gunnar Caspersson got a free kick in the 57th minute. After having played for 60 minutes, Brian Ström managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Skinnskatteberg's supporters crossed their fingers, but Brian Ström was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 63rd minute, Bertil Gunnarsson made a precise shot to the right of Stig-Åke Kielberg. Skinnskatteberg's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-0. Bernt Drake was a little too slow when Martin Back got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 67th minute. The score was now 2-1. In the 70th minute Bertil Gunnarsson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Stig-Åke Kielberg saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The audience was convinced that Bertil Gunnarsson's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Stig-Åke Kielberg was relentless in the 75th minute of the game. Björn Jonsson took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 77th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Bernt Drake. Snespark united's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Brian Ström recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 80th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After a rather tough play, Skinnskatteberg's Tobias Forssberg got a free kick in the 84th minute. In the 88th minute Bertil Gunnarsson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Stig-Åke Kielberg saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Tobias Forssberg sent away a hard shot on goal in the 92nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 93rd minute, Karl-Magnus Hermansson hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 96 minutes in the game, Martin Back fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Bernt Drake having to interfere. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Snespark united fans cheered their team off the field, for while Skinnskatteberg had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
