An unexpectedly hard shot by Erland Billing in the 16th minute of play forced Kroksjö läjkers's goalkeeper Gilbert Söderström to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 17 minutes into the game, Bo Allbom was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Kroksjö läjkers's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Hammar the free kick. Bo Allbom kicked well hit freekick during the 17th minute of the match. Hammar's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Mats Alén in the 20th minute. Erland Billing fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 29th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gilbert Söderström having to interfere. Kroksjö läjkers's Börge Falck got a good chance for a goal in the 37th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Egil Brummer's late challenge caught a Hammar's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Egil Brummer helped the player get up and apologised. Egil Brummer hit a great freekick 38 minutes into the match. Kroksjö läjkers's Gilbert Söderström played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by David Pihl in the 39th minute of play. After 41 minutes, Kenny Stolpe mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Hammar and the Kroksjö läjkers players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 42 played minutes Hammar got a freekick which was hit by Kenny Stolpe. If Erland Billing had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 44th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Erland Billing sent away a hard shot on goal in the 46th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

Gilbert Söderström made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from David Pihl in the 54th minute of play. With his leg Gilbert Söderström managed to avoid a goal in the 55thth minute, when Hammar's Erland Billing fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. In the 57th minute, Hammar's Mats Alén seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Mats Alén the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Hammar protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Mats Alén had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. After 56 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Hammar! The referee gave Kroksjö läjkers a penalty, 59 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Christian Majman, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Hammar's Roy Billberg. 1-0. 65 minutes into the match, Kroksjö läjkers's goalkeeper Gilbert Söderström had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Erland Billing. Erland Billing recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 66th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Roy Billberg made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Börge Falck in the 70th minute of play. With a little luck, Kroksjö läjkers's Gilbert Söderström got control of the ball when Erland Billing tried to sneak it across the goal line. Erland Billing could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 83rd minute of the match, but Gilbert Söderström made a huge save. Kenny Stolpe fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 84th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gilbert Söderström having to interfere. Jim Magnusson hit a great freekick 85 minutes into the match. Erland Billing could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 89th minute of the match, but Gilbert Söderström made a huge save. Gilbert Söderström made an important save on a dangerous shot by Erland Billing in the 93rd minute. Kenny Stolpe sent away a hard shot on goal in the 94th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The audience thought a goal was coming when Erland Billing got free with Gilbert Söderström in the 96th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Kroksjö läjkers's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
