Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Jens Carlsson took the kick off in the first half of the match. Thomas Wennerqvist made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Örjan Kellbom in the 2nd minute of play. Reine Alfors sent away a hard shot on goal in the 6th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a defensive mix-up in Smutstvätt IF's zone, Örjan Kellbom stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Thomas Wennerqvist came out of the goal and Örjan Kellbom tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In a very dangerous position, a player in Smutstvätt IF fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 16th minute. Penalty! If Örjan Kellbom had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 20th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Örjan Kellbom received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 23rd minute. Thomas Wennerqvist tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Reine Alfors in the 36th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Thomas Wennerqvist saved Smutstvätt IF from getting behind. When Andreas Andreasson came up free with the goalie in the 37th minute, the Shurda FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Andreas Andreasson couldn't finish the play. If Reine Alfors had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 39th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 42nd minute, Karl-Erik Hultstrand hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Karl-Erik Hultstrand sent away a hard shot on goal in the 44th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Reine Alfors to make the kick off. When Shurda FC's Reine Alfors in the 53rd minute got a chance for a shot 53rd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Smutstvätt IF's goalie prevented a goal. After 54 minutes, Peter Lindqvist mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Shurda FC and the Smutstvätt IF players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 55 played minutes Shurda FC got a freekick which was hit by Peter Lindqvist. When Shurda FC's Reine Alfors in the 57th minute got a chance for a shot 57th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Smutstvätt IF's goalie prevented a goal. Reine Alfors scored 3-0 in the 63rd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Thomas Wennerqvist, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 69th match minute, Smutstvätt IF was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jens Carlsson to maneuver through the defense. 70 minutes into the match, Reine Alfors had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Thomas Wennerqvist. Smutstvätt IF's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Reine Alfors was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 4-0. After a rather tough play, Shurda FC's Per Beneth got a free kick in the 73rd minute. Fred Dahlquist kicked well hit freekick during the 74th minute of the match. Reine Alfors recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 76th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Thomas Wennerqvist showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Andreas Andreasson, who was totally free with the ball in the 78th minute. When Peter Lindqvist was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 80 minutes had been played. Peter Lindqvist hit a great freekick 80 minutes into the match. Reine Alfors sent away a hard shot on goal in the 82nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Leonardo Asklund struck a weak shot in the 84th minute. Thomas Wennerqvist didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Shurda FC. The audience was convinced that Reine Alfors's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Thomas Wennerqvist was relentless in the 85th minute of the game. Reine Alfors received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 93rd minute. Thomas Wennerqvist tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Shurda FC's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
