Spectators: 6875 (Terracing: 5200, Seating: 1673, VIP seats: 2) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Jörgen Alströmer got the match started through his kick off. Sven-Erik Hultin made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Thor Östensson in the 3rd minute of play. Olov Billing fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 4th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sven-Erik Hultin having to interfere. 7 minutes into the match, Hammenhög BK's goal looked a bit too open when Olov Billing came free, but Sven-Erik Hultin reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Sven-Erik Hultin stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Thor Östensson's shot from short distance in the 8th minute. After 13 played minutes Backyard Babes got a freekick which was hit by Mattias Karlsson. Backyard Babes's Patrick Jönsätt played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jörgen Alströmer in the 14th minute of play. In the 16th play minute Patrik Kullander came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Patrick Jönsätt. 1-0. Patrick Jönsätt showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jörgen Alströmer, who was totally free with the ball in the 22nd minute. Jörgen Alströmer sent away a hard shot on goal in the 25th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Thor Östensson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 28th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After some fancy dribbling in the 31st minute, Patrik Kullander managed to get in a good position for a shot. Hammenhög BK's supporters rose to their feet, but Patrik Kullander was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Patrick Jönsätt breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 32nd minute, one of Backyard Babes:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Backyard Babes. In the 34th minute, Hammenhög BK got a penalty, and Marc Västerstrand placed the ball unsaveable into goal, by the right post. Patrik Kullander sent away a hard shot on goal in the 40th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a defensive mix-up in Backyard Babes's zone, Jörgen Alströmer stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Patrick Jönsätt came out of the goal and Jörgen Alströmer tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Patrik Kullander sent away a hard shot on goal in the 47th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-0.

After some fancy dribbling in the 53rd minute, Thor Östensson managed to get in a good position for a shot. Backyard Babes's supporters rose to their feet, but Thor Östensson was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Sven-Erik Hultin breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Olov Billing in the 55th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Sven-Erik Hultin prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Jörgen Alströmer received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 59th minute. Patrick Jönsätt tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Jörgen Alströmer sent away a hard shot on goal in the 63rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 66thth minute of the game Jörgen Alströmer who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Backyard Babes's Patrick Jönsätt was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Patrick Jönsätt made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jörgen Alströmer in the 69th minute of play. Olov Billing fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 73rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sven-Erik Hultin having to interfere. Sven-Erik Hultin made a fantastic save in the 75th minute, when Thor Östensson sent off a good shot on target. Backyard Babes's Olov Billing got a good chance for a goal in the 76th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When Hammenhög BK's Patrik Kullander in the 86th minute got a chance for a shot 86th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Backyard Babes's goalie prevented a goal. Jörgen Alströmer received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 95th minute. Patrick Jönsätt tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Hammenhög BK fans cheered their team off the field, for while Backyard Babes had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
