Jörgen Olenberg sent away a hard shot on goal in the 5th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Tord Mogren received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 8th minute. Tommy Eckegren tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Andy Stolpe had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 12th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The supporters of Fågelfors booed when Bergby IK was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 13 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jörgen Olenberg didn't get a good kick on the ball. Sverker Lägdin made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Andy Stolpe in the 14th minute of play. Tord Mogren received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 16th minute. Jörgen Boman could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 22nd minute of the match, but Sverker Lägdin made a huge save. Sverker Lägdin took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Andy Stolpe, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Tord Mogren sent away a hard shot on goal in the 31st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Jörgen Boman received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 34th minute. Sverker Lägdin tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Tord Mogren recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 39th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Jörgen Boman blasted a shot towards the goal in the 42nd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Sverker Lägdin having to make a save. Tommy Eckegren made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tord Mogren in the 45th minute of play. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

Bergby IK's Sverker Lägdin played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jörgen Boman in the 54th minute of play. Tommy Eckegren made an important save on a dangerous shot by Tord Mogren in the 58th minute. If Roger Nordström had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 60th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 65 minutes into the game, Sigvard Asklöv was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Fågelfors's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Bergby IK the free kick. In the 65th minute, Sigvard Asklöv hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 66th minute, Tord Mogren got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Jörgen Boman fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 70th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sverker Lägdin having to interfere. In the 78th minute Andy Stolpe shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sverker Lägdin saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ingemar Morat hit a great freekick 83 minutes into the match. The supporters of Bergby IK booed when Fågelfors was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 89 match minutes in a wonderful position. Torbjörn Uggstedt didn't get a good kick on the ball. 90 minutes into the match, Bergby IK's Rune Benet broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. In the 96th minute Andy Stolpe shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sverker Lägdin saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Bergby IK's supporters were dissatisfied at the end of the match because Fågelfors had won, even though Bergby IK had held more of the ball.
