Gunnar Åhman might have been able to make a better finish in the 3rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Algot Böcklund. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Gunnar Åhman ran back to his position shaking his head. A collision led to FC STEN getting a freekick after 4 minutes play. Torsten Sjöström hit a great ball. When the match clock showed 5 minutes, the score became 1-0 when Gunnar Åhman sped through FC STEN's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Algot Böcklund. When Joacim Norberg fell near the penalty area in the 9th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Tågarp's protests and gave Joacim Norberg a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, Tågarp's Joacim Norberg got a free kick in the 9th minute. In the 11th minute Urban Hård shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Uno Fristedt saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The FC STEN fans' excitement grew in the 15th match minute when FC STEN's George Kjellman looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Gustaf Palm kicked well hit freekick during the 20th minute of the match. The supporters of FC STEN booed when Tågarp was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 22 match minutes in a wonderful position. Folke Ahlrot didn't get a good kick on the ball. George Kjellman struck a weak shot in the 23rd minute. Uno Fristedt didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for FC STEN. FC STEN's defense didn't have a chance, in the 28th minute, when Gunnar Åhman scored to the left of an out of position Algot Böcklund, making the score, 2-1. Emil Källberg recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 34th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If George Kjellman had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 39th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. George Kjellman fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 42nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Uno Fristedt having to interfere. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-1.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Gunnar Åhman was the one to do the kick off. Torsten Sjöström's late challenge caught a Tågarp's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Torsten Sjöström helped the player get up and apologised. The Tågarp fans' excitement grew in the 52nd match minute when Tågarp's Emil Källberg looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 3-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Algot Böcklund took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Emil Källberg, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. George Kjellman recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 65th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The supporters of FC STEN booed when Tågarp was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 66 match minutes in a wonderful position. Bernt Soned didn't get a good kick on the ball. Joacim Norberg hit a great freekick 68 minutes into the match. Olov Billock was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 69th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. After a rather tough play, FC STEN's Olov Billock got a free kick in the 72nd minute. A hard shot 77 in the game by Urban Hård from a close distance when the talented Uno Fristedt managed to make a qualified save. Tågarp's players were relieved. It seemed to be an obvious goal in the 79th minute, but Uno Fristedt got his fingers on the ball or the save, leaving Tågarp hanging dry this time. After having played for 81 minutes, Urban Hård managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. FC STEN's supporters crossed their fingers, but Urban Hård was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After 93 minutes, Gunnar Åhman mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Tågarp and the FC STEN players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 93rd match minute, Tågarp was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gunnar Åhman to maneuver through the defense. FC STEN's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
