Gunnar Åhman fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 4th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Algot Böcklund having to interfere. Uno Fristedt showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from George Kjellman, who was totally free with the ball in the 10th minute. After having played for 12 minutes, Urban Hård managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. FC STEN's supporters crossed their fingers, but Urban Hård was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. If George Kjellman had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 13th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. 18 minutes into the match George Kjellman climbed in front of goal and pressed up 2-0 in the right cross behind a totally surprised Uno Fristedt. Gunnar Åhman took the ball and in the 23 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Algot Böcklund. Algot Böcklund dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-1. 27 minutes into the game, Urban Hård cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-1. Uno Fristedt was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. George Kjellman received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 31st minute. Uno Fristedt tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Uno Fristedt took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from George Kjellman, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 44 minutes Tågarp's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Olov Billock who took care of the corner kick. A well-hit corner resulted in Sten Vedholm heading the ball towards the goal, but to his dismay he misdirected it and missed the goal completely. Folke Ahlrot's late challenge caught a FC STEN's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Folke Ahlrot helped the player get up and apologised. After 46 played minutes Tågarp got a freekick which was hit by Folke Ahlrot. If George Kjellman had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 47th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. George Kjellman was the one to do the kick off. A collision led to FC STEN getting a freekick after 56 minutes play. Torsten Sjöström hit a great ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Torsten Sjöström in the 62nd minute of play forced Tågarp's goalkeeper Uno Fristedt to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 64th minute, George Kjellman managed to get in a good position for a shot. FC STEN's supporters rose to their feet, but George Kjellman was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Uno Fristedt breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Urban Hård received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 66th minute. Uno Fristedt tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Algot Böcklund made a fantastic save in the 71st minute, when Emil Källberg sent off a good shot on target. After a rather tough play, FC STEN's Rutger Abrahamsson got a free kick in the 88th minute. 89 minutes into the match, FC STEN's goal looked a bit too open when Gunnar Åhman came free, but Algot Böcklund reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After having played for 91 minutes, George Kjellman managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. FC STEN's supporters crossed their fingers, but George Kjellman was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Uno Fristedt made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from George Kjellman in the 95th minute of play. If Urban Hård had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 97th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. FC STEN's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
