Humlans Juniorer's Mattias Sundström played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Melker Sandwall in the 14th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Humlans Juniorer's Peter Galle got a free kick in the 15th minute. In the 17th minute, Göran Vesterberg hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The audience thought a goal was coming when Per Wiklund got free with Mattias Sundström in the 21st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 23 minutes into the game, Melker Sandwall lined in a short shot 2-0 behind a frustrated Mattias Sundström. Per Wiklund fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 27th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mattias Sundström having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Melker Sandwall in the 34th minute of play forced Humlans Juniorer's goalkeeper Mattias Sundström to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The crowd rose to their feet as Älgarnas BK's Melker Sandwall slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Mattias Sundström. That made the score 3-0 after 36 minutes of play. Per Wiklunds short, quick shot in the 43rdth minute got Mattias Sundström to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. In the 44th minute, one of Humlans Juniorer:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Humlans Juniorer. In the 45th minute, Simon Lind ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Mattias Sundström was frozen by the shot and now it was 4-0. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 4-0 at half-time.

When Björn Danielsson fell near the penalty area in the 51st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Älgarnas BK's protests and gave Björn Danielsson a yellow card for diving instead. Björn Danielsson hit a great freekick 51 minutes into the match. Per Wiklund might have been able to make a better finish in the 57th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Mattias Sundström. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Per Wiklund ran back to his position shaking his head. Mattias Sundström took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Melker Sandwall, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side.
