The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 8th minute Jan-Åke Pålsson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Nils-Åke Widberg saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Jan-Åke Pålsson received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 12th minute. Nils-Åke Widberg tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 16 minutes into the match, Landskrona BoIS's goal looked a bit too open when Jan-Åke Pålsson came free, but Nils-Åke Widberg reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Marcus Caspersson's late challenge caught a Real Werner CF's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Marcus Caspersson helped the player get up and apologised. In the 17th minute of the match, Jan-Åke Pålsson tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Nils-Åke Widberg saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Nils-Åke Widberg made an important save on a dangerous shot by Calle Billing in the 19th minute. With a little luck, Landskrona BoIS's Nils-Åke Widberg got control of the ball when Calle Billing tried to sneak it across the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jan-Åke Pålsson in the 25th minute of play forced Landskrona BoIS's goalkeeper Nils-Åke Widberg to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The long shot by Alexander Palm in the 29th minute really tested Nils-Åke Widberg's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jan-Åke Pålsson in the 30th minute of play forced Landskrona BoIS's goalkeeper Nils-Åke Widberg to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Bertil Wennerlund's late challenge caught a Real Werner CF's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Bertil Wennerlund helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Real Werner CF booed when Landskrona BoIS was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 31 match minutes in a wonderful position. Bertil Wennerlund didn't get a good kick on the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 34th minute, Calle Billing managed to get in a good position for a shot. Real Werner CF's supporters rose to their feet, but Calle Billing was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Nils-Åke Widberg breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Landskrona BoIS's Nils-Åke Widberg played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jan-Åke Pålsson in the 35th minute of play. Jan-Åke Pålsson was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 37th minute. Real Werner CF's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. In the 39th minute the ball was on its way in behind Real Werner CF's goalkeeper Vilgot Nordström, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 45th match minute, Real Werner CF was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Rickard Lund to maneuver through the defense. 48 minutes into the match, Landskrona BoIS's Stellan Nordlander sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Vilgot Nordström narrowly saved just below the crossbar. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Jan-Åke Pålsson was the one to do the kick off. Sebastian Jakobsson received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 54th minute. Vilgot Nordström tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After having played for 55 minutes, Stellan Nordlander managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Landskrona BoIS's supporters crossed their fingers, but Stellan Nordlander was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The audience thought a goal was coming when Sebastian Jakobsson got free with Vilgot Nordström in the 57th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Calle Billing fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 62nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nils-Åke Widberg having to interfere. Jan-Åke Pålsson struck a weak shot in the 64th minute. Nils-Åke Widberg didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Real Werner CF. Landskrona BoIS's Stellan Nordlander managed to work through Real Werner CF's defense and was going for an easy goal, but he hit the shot with his toe and the ball flew outside the goal. Stellan Nordlander dejectedly held out his arms as if to ask why the ball hadn't gone in. In the 77th minute, Stellan Nordlander made a precise shot to the right of Vilgot Nordström. Real Werner CF's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-1. Jan-Åke Pålsson fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 85th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nils-Åke Widberg having to interfere. Jan-Åke Pålsson took the ball and in the 94 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Nils-Åke Widberg. Nils-Åke Widberg dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-1. Real Werner CF's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
