Folke Kilström showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ulrik Samuelsson in the 15th minute of the match. In the 20th minute, Petter Nordkvist hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Folke Kilström made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ulrik Samuelsson in the 22nd minute of play. In the 25th minute Ulrik Samuelsson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Folke Kilström saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Ulrik Samuelsson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 28th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ulrik Samuelsson struck a weak shot in the 46th minute. Folke Kilström didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Salbohed. After the first half Salbohed were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Alf Johansson to make the kick off. Rune Arenberg fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 59th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sten Mellin having to interfere. If Holger Björkqvist had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 65th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ulrik Samuelsson received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 71st minute. Folke Kilström tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Holger Björkqvist's late challenge caught a Salbohed's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Holger Björkqvist helped the player get up and apologised. Ulrik Samuelsson who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 80thth minute tested the skills of Folke Kilström when he managed to save the team from getting behind. In the 83rd minute of the match, Alf Johansson tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Folke Kilström saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. With his leg Folke Kilström managed to avoid a goal in the 89thth minute, when Salbohed's Ulrik Samuelsson fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. In the 92nd minute Oliver Smefeldt shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sten Mellin saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Höganäs United's Oliver Smefeldt got a good chance for a goal in the 94th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Salbohed walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
