Oskar Mossberg helped the player get up and apologised. In the 20th match minute, Salbohed was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Oskar Mossberg to maneuver through the defense. Holger Björkqvist took the ball and in the 22 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Sten Mellin. Sten Mellin dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. Sten Mellin showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Holger Björkqvist in the 26th minute of the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 28th minute, Ulrik Samuelsson managed to get in a good position for a shot. Salbohed's supporters rose to their feet, but Ulrik Samuelsson was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Folke Kilström breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 30 minutes into the match, Salbohed's Ulrik Samuelsson sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Folke Kilström narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Kjell-Arne Alströmer kicked well hit freekick during the 31st minute of the match. After 32 played minutes Sven-Ove Odman shot from long distance. At first the shot seemed to be simple for Salbohed's Sten Mellin to catch but Sven-Ove Odman was lucky. It became 1-2 after the goalkeeper had been careless and dropped the ball into goal. Holger Björkqvist sent away a hard shot on goal in the 35th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 39th minute Alf Johansson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Folke Kilström saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Holger Björkqvist had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 41st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 42nd minute, Oskar Mossberg hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Sten Mellin took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Holger Björkqvist, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a defensive mix-up in Salbohed's zone, Holger Björkqvist stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Sten Mellin came out of the goal and Holger Björkqvist tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Alf Johansson made a kick off. Höganäs United were furious when Stig-Åke Hallgren was red carded, 54 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. In a very dangerous position, a player in Höganäs United fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 53rd minute. Penalty! In the 56th minute there was a penalty for Salbohed. Kjell-Arne Alströmer stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Folke Kilström. 2-2. Salbohed's Alf Johansson managed to work through Höganäs United's defense and was going for an easy goal, but he hit the shot with his toe and the ball flew outside the goal. Alf Johansson dejectedly held out his arms as if to ask why the ball hadn't gone in. Folke Kilström made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ulrik Samuelsson in the 66th minute of play. Sven-Ove Odman hit a great freekick 70 minutes into the match. In the 78th match minute, Salbohed was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ulrik Samuelsson to maneuver through the defense. Höganäs United's Folke Kilström played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ulrik Samuelsson in the 86th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Höganäs United's Oliver Smefeldt got a free kick in the 89th minute. In the 90th minute, Kjell-Arne Alströmer sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Höganäs United's Folke Kilström didn't even have to move. In the 92nd minute, Oliver Smefeldt hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Salbohed's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Kjell-Arne Alströmer in the 95th minute. Salbohed's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
