After 21 played minutes Lidhult FF got a freekick which was hit by Ragnar Vennersten. Dag Walroth scored 0-1 in the 26th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Niclas Siggesson, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After 34 played minutes, Lidhult FF's Erland Gråberg shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Per-Åke Ahlfors came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Lidhult FF reached it. With a little luck, Canadian Leafs FC's Per-Åke Ahlfors got control of the ball when Dan Jonsson tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 79th minute Patrik Forss shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Per-Åke Ahlfors saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The supporters of Lidhult FF booed when Canadian Leafs FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 79 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jan-Olof Lundgren didn't get a good kick on the ball. Lidhult FF's Niclas Siggesson proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 83rd minute of the match, managed to save Lidhult FF from getting a goal against them. 0-2 became the score in the 84th minute when Orvar Rudqvist elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. The Canadian Leafs FC players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
