Bertil Ljungberg sent away a hard shot on goal in the 10th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 12 minutes into the game, Kristian Bolin cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Karl-Johan Högman was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. An unexpectedly hard shot by Kent Kruuse in the 15th minute of play forced Skövde's goalkeeper Bengt-Åke Waller to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Kent Kruuse recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 20th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Kristian Bolin fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 25th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Karl-Johan Högman having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Kristian Bolin in the 29th minute of play forced Stora Höga BK's goalkeeper Karl-Johan Högman to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 31 minutes into the game, Kristian Bolin cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-2. Karl-Johan Högman was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 34th minute, Bertil Ljungberg got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Axel Nordström fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 38th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Karl-Johan Högman having to interfere. Paul Pilberg charged in rather forcefully in the 42nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Paul Pilberg the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The goalkeeper, Bengt-Åke Waller, was totally fooled by Stora Höga BK's Marcus Norström, who 44 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. When Kristian Bolin came up free with the goalie in the 47th minute, the Skövde fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Kristian Bolin couldn't finish the play. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 1-2 lead.

After some careless play in the Skövde defense, Jonatan Holmberg kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Bengt-Åke Waller. The Skövde fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Bengt-Åke Waller should have stopped the shot. A collision led to Stora Höga BK getting a freekick after 56 minutes play. Kent Kruuse hit a great ball. When Skövde's Kristian Bolin in the 58th minute got a chance for a shot 58th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. After having played for 61 minutes, Bertil Ljungberg managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Skövde's supporters crossed their fingers, but Bertil Ljungberg was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 62nd minute, Anders Mossberg hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpectedly hard shot by Kristian Bolin in the 65th minute of play forced Stora Höga BK's goalkeeper Karl-Johan Högman to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With his leg Karl-Johan Högman managed to avoid a goal in the 66thth minute, when Skövde's Bertil Ljungberg fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Jonatan Holmberg sent away a hard shot on goal in the 76th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Kent Kruuse had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 83rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Kent Kruuse in the 85th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Bengt-Åke Waller saved Skövde from getting behind. Gustav Sandwall kicked well hit freekick during the 87th minute of the match. Kent Kruuse received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 91st minute. Bengt-Åke Waller tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 93rd minute Kent Kruuse shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bengt-Åke Waller saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The final whistle blew with the score still tied, and both teams left the pitch thinking about the missed chances that could have given their team the win.
