Spectators: 7087 (Terracing: 5424, Seating: 1663, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Jens-Erik Ekenberg took the kick off in the first half of the match. Ivar Grönlund's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Erik Abrahamsson read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 8th minute of play. With a little luck, Malå's Börje Carlberg got control of the ball when Robin Eckegren tried to sneak it across the goal line. Jens-Erik Ekenberg took the ball and in the 17 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Erik Abrahamsson. Erik Abrahamsson dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. If Robin Eckegren had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 22nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 26th match minute, Grängesberg was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ingvar Blomquist to maneuver through the defense. Erik Abrahamsson made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ivar Grönlund in the 27th minute of play. 33 minutes into the game, Carl Tolsson was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Malå's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Grängesberg the free kick. In the 33rd match minute, Malå was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Carl Tolsson to maneuver through the defense. With a little luck, Malå's Börje Carlberg got control of the ball when Robin Eckegren tried to sneak it across the goal line. The supporters of Grängesberg booed when Malå was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 36 match minutes in a wonderful position. Carl Tolsson didn't get a good kick on the ball. Grängesberg's Robin Eckegren got a good chance for a goal in the 38th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 42nd minute, Ivar Grönlund made a precise shot to the right of Erik Abrahamsson. Grängesberg's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-2. After the first half Malå were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Wictor Torstensson to strike the kick off in the second half. Börje Carlberg took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Wictor Torstensson, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 1-2 became the score in the 57th minute when Wictor Torstensson elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. In the 59th minute, Lennart Martinsson hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Adrian Skålberg's late challenge caught a Grängesberg's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Adrian Skålberg helped the player get up and apologised. After 68 played minutes Malå got a freekick which was hit by Adrian Skålberg. In the 69th minute Wictor Torstensson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Börje Carlberg saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 75th minute, Jens-Erik Ekenberg got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 79th minute Robin Eckegren shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Börje Carlberg saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Lennart Martinsson took the ball and in the 82 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Börje Carlberg. Börje Carlberg dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-2. 86 minutes into the match, Wictor Torstensson had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Börje Carlberg. Malå's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Wictor Torstensson was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-2. With his leg Erik Abrahamsson managed to avoid a goal in the 92ndth minute, when Malå's Ivar Grönlund fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Stig-Ove Bergman during the 92nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 95 played minutes Grängesberg got a freekick which was hit by Lennart Martinsson. Ivar Grönlund struck a weak shot in the 96th minute. Erik Abrahamsson didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Malå. Grängesberg were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Malå for a fine match.
