Slackers's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Elliot Snell was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. One of Slackers:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Malmö FF:s goal. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-3.

In the 52nd minute, Elliot Snell got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. George Odman's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Sture Åberg read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 54th minute of play. Slackers's Sture Åberg proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 55th minute of the match, managed to save Slackers from getting a goal against them. Sture Åberg made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-4. George Odman was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 77th minute. Malmö FF's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. Slackers's Sture Åberg played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by George Odman in the 79th minute of play. Elliot Snell could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 83rd minute of the match, but Sture Åberg made a huge save. Robin Forsberg sent away a hard shot on goal in the 84th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Elliot Snell came up free with the goalie in the 86th minute, the Malmö FF fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Elliot Snell couldn't finish the play.
