After 25 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Hakuna Matata! In the 26th minute there was a penalty for Vartofta. Jonny Lang stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Rudolf Ugla. 1-1. Tomas Linberg who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 30thth minute tested the skills of Kristian Kvick when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Marcus Fribäck kicked well hit freekick during the 30th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Per-Arne Brandt in the 32nd minute of play forced Vartofta's goalkeeper Kristian Kvick to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 34 minutes into the game, one of Hakuna Matata:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Hakuna Matata:s Rudolf Ugla showed great skill when he stopped Jonny Lang:s penalty. Hakuna Matata's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. After 74 minutes of play, Hakuna Matata's Per-Arne Brandt made it 2-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Kristian Kvick was left in no man's land by his defense there! Rudolf Ugla made an important save on a dangerous shot by Johnny Finsberg in the 78th minute. Jens-Ove Norström charged in rather forcefully in the 82nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Jens-Ove Norström the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play.
