When Wilhelm Wennerqvist fell near the penalty area in the 6th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Hakuna Matata's protests and gave Wilhelm Wennerqvist a yellow card for diving instead. In the 8th minute Bambi BK were awarded a corner. Herbert Drewitz went to the cornerflag to take it. Andreas Morat struck a weak shot in the 13th minute. Rudolf Ugla didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Bambi BK. Edvin Ånger kicked well hit freekick during the 17th minute of the match. 22 minutes into the match, Bambi BK's goalkeeper Måns Sillén had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Per-Arne Brandt. Hakuna Matata were furious when Per-Erik Bergendahl was red carded, 29 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. In the 29th minute, one of Hakuna Matata:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Hakuna Matata. 38 minutes into the match, Evert Sundberg had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Rudolf Ugla. Hakuna Matata's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Evert Sundberg was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-3. In the 46th match minute, Hakuna Matata was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jens-Ove Norström to maneuver through the defense. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 1-3 lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Evert Sundberg stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Torbjörn Nilsson received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 56th minute. Måns Sillén tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Rudolf Ugla showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Evert Sundberg, who was totally free with the ball in the 60th minute. Andreas Morat sent away a hard shot on goal in the 63rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Evert Sundberg in the 68th minute of play forced Hakuna Matata's goalkeeper Rudolf Ugla to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 68 played minutes Hakuna Matata got a freekick which was hit by Torbjörn Nilsson. In a very dangerous position, a player in Bambi BK fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 71st minute. Penalty! The referee gave Hakuna Matata a penalty, 72 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Karl-Ove Alkvist, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Bambi BK's Måns Sillén. 2-4. In the 78th match minute, Hakuna Matata was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jens-Ove Norström to maneuver through the defense. 82 minutes into the match, Hakuna Matata's Tomas Linberg sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Måns Sillén narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After a defensive mix-up in Hakuna Matata's zone, Evert Sundberg stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Rudolf Ugla came out of the goal and Evert Sundberg tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 85th match minute, Hakuna Matata was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Karl-Ove Alkvist to maneuver through the defense. After 87 played minutes Bambi BK got a freekick which was hit by Edvin Ånger. Rudolf Ugla made an important save on a dangerous shot by Andreas Morat in the 93rd minute.
