The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. The Claes Myhr was delighted since the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. After 6 minutes, Magne Haegg mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Arboga IK and the Lit IFK players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, Arboga IK's Magne Haegg got a free kick in the 6th minute. Axel Persson fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 8th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Per-Oskar Lövskog having to interfere. A collision led to Lit IFK getting a freekick after 11 minutes play. Fredrik Lundqvist hit a great ball. With his leg Per-Oskar Lövskog managed to avoid a goal in the 16thth minute, when Arboga IK's Ove Ström fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Ove Ström received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 21st minute. Per-Oskar Lövskog tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Gunnar Alén took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 23rd minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Claes Myhr. Arboga IK's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Björn Carlsson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 28th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Axel Persson in the 30th minute of play forced Lit IFK's goalkeeper Per-Oskar Lövskog to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 33rd minute Björn Carlsson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Claes Myhr saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Björn Carlsson received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 37th minute. Claes Myhr tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 41st minute, Björn Carlsson hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpectedly hard shot by Lars-Erik Holm in the 45th minute of play forced Arboga IK's goalkeeper Claes Myhr to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 45 minutes into the game, Lit IFK's Lars-Erik Holm nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Claes Myhr made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The wind increased when Axel Persson made the kick off in the second half. Per-Oskar Lövskog showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Axel Persson, who was totally free with the ball in the 57th minute. Björn Carlsson blasted a shot towards the goal in the 60th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Claes Myhr having to make a save. After a rather tough play, Lit IFK's Fredrik Lundqvist got a free kick in the 67th minute. After a defensive mix-up in Arboga IK's zone, Lars-Erik Holm stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Claes Myhr came out of the goal and Lars-Erik Holm tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 71st minute, Karl-Magnus Smefeldt hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Per-Oskar Lövskog showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Axel Persson in the 81st minute of the match. After a rather tough play, Lit IFK's Patrik Hellgren got a free kick in the 85th minute. 87 minutes into the game, Axel Persson cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-1. Per-Oskar Lövskog was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Nils-Erik Gummeson fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 93rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Claes Myhr having to interfere. After 96 minutes of play, Arboga IK's Ove Ström made it 3-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Per-Oskar Lövskog was left in no man's land by his defense there! Lit IFK's supporters were dissatisfied at the end of the match because Arboga IK had won, even though Lit IFK had held more of the ball.
