When Urban Skålberg came up free with the goalie in the 14th minute, the El Zyricos fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Urban Skålberg couldn't finish the play. Urban Skålberg fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 16th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mikael Felin having to interfere. In the 17th minute, Max Wassenius hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Kåre Käcker's late challenge caught a El Zyricos's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Kåre Käcker helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of El Zyricos booed when Memento mori IFK was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 20 match minutes in a wonderful position. Kåre Käcker didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 21st minute, Urban Skålberg made a precise shot to the right of Mikael Felin. Memento mori IFK's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-0. Urban Skålberg in the 27thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. El Zyricos's supporters crossed their fingers, but Urban Skålberg was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Adrian Falk made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alfons Almstedt in the 47th minute of play. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-0.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Walter Dalkvist to make the kick off. In the 53rd minute, Max Wassenius hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpectedly hard shot by Thomas Österberg in the 58th minute of play forced Memento mori IFK's goalkeeper Mikael Felin to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Mikael Felin showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Thomas Österberg in the 93rd minute of the match. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. El Zyricos fully deserved thier win.
