Michael Holmberg was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. 18 minutes into the game, Boris Uter was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Öxabäck BK's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Åshöjden the free kick. After 18 played minutes Öxabäck BK got a freekick which was hit by Boris Uter. 20 minutes into the game, Åshöjden's Jens-Åke Kilman nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Michael Holmberg made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-2. In the 23rd minute, Per-Arne Viklund made a precise shot to the right of Michael Holmberg. Öxabäck BK's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-3. 27 minutes into the match, Petter Kock dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Victor Glanselius, 1-3. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Jens-Åke Kilman in the 33rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Michael Holmberg prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 39th minute, Charlie Alefors hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-4 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

In the 51st match minute, Åshöjden was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jan Olsson to maneuver through the defense. Michael Holmberg made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jan Olsson in the 54th minute of play. With a little luck, Öxabäck BK's Michael Holmberg got control of the ball when Jens-Åke Kilman tried to sneak it across the goal line. 57 minutes into the game, Jens-Åke Kilman cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-5. After 61 minutes of play, Åshöjden's Per-Arne Viklund made it 1-6 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Michael Holmberg was left in no man's land by his defense there! Victor Glanselius showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Boris Uter, who was totally free with the ball in the 66th minute. If Jan Olsson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 70th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With splendid footwork Per-Arne Viklund arrived in front of goal to shoot 1-7 by the left pole in the game's 71st minute. Öxabäck BK's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Per-Arne Viklund 83 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 1-9. Jan Olsson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 86th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Öxabäck BK's Michael Holmberg proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 88th minute of the match, managed to save Öxabäck BK from getting a goal against them. In the 89th minute, Boris Uter hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 90th minute, Per-Arne Viklund ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Michael Holmberg was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-10. Jens-Åke Kilman who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 95thth minute tested the skills of Michael Holmberg when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Åshöjden's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
