With a couple of smart ball manuevers Jack Wästerberg in the 15th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Rune Uggstedt saved Olympia FC from getting behind. Patric Wennerström fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 16th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rune Uggstedt having to interfere. In the 21st minute, Olympia FC's Tord Rosin ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Rolf Sundström. Rolf Sundström yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-0. Rune Uggstedt didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Jack Wästerberg went, in the 23rd minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. Bror Helström charged in rather forcefully in the 28th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Bror Helström the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. When Frösö IF's Patric Wennerström in the 29th minute got a chance for a shot 29th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Olympia FC's goalie prevented a goal. Olympia FC's Rune Uggstedt played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jack Wästerberg in the 33rd minute of play. 43 minutes into the match, Frösö IF's Jack Wästerberg sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Rune Uggstedt narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Christer Öberg sent away a hard shot on goal in the 46th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Ernst Hökqvist made a kick off. Anthon Näfver recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 53rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Everyone was convinced a goal was close when Frösö IF's Jack Wästerberg in the 55th minute lifted the ball towards the upper right corner, but Rune Uggstedt was perfectly placed and prevented a goal for Olympia FC through an amazing save. Jack Wästerberg received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 58th minute. Rune Uggstedt tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Bror Helström recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 61st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 74thth minute of the game Ernst Hökqvist who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Frösö IF's Rolf Sundström was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Ernst Hökqvist fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 81st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rolf Sundström having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Bror Helström in the 83rd minute of play forced Frösö IF's goalkeeper Rolf Sundström to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With a little luck, Olympia FC's Rune Uggstedt got control of the ball when Patric Wennerström tried to sneak it across the goal line. If Patric Wennerström had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 88th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Sten Ersman hit a great freekick 89 minutes into the match.
