Håkan Sillén showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ernst Hökqvist, who was totally free with the ball in the 18th minute. Håkan Sillén made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bror Helström in the 21st minute of play. Färentuna FK's Håkan Sillén played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sten Ersman in the 22nd minute of play. 26 minutes into the match, Paul Forssell had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Håkan Sillén. Färentuna FK's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Paul Forssell was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-2. In the 37th minute, Alfons Stephansson hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Ernst Hökqvist had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 44th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-2.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Ernst Hökqvist to strike the kick off in the second half. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ernst Hökqvist in the 55th minute of play forced Färentuna FK's goalkeeper Håkan Sillén to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Bror Helströms short, quick shot in the 60thth minute got Håkan Sillén to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. The audience thought a goal was coming when Tord Rosin got free with Håkan Sillén in the 64th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Isaac Nykvist during the 73rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Olympia FC's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
