When Harald Bollström came up free with the goalie in the 15th minute, the Sannes FK fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Harald Bollström couldn't finish the play. Walter Caspersson showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Harald Bollström, who was totally free with the ball in the 23rd minute. Sannes FK's Inge Berglund played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mikael Almkvist in the 25th minute of play. Mikael Almkvist was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 31st minute. Mjöbäck's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. In the 36th minute, Mjöbäck's Elof Ekgren dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-0. When Boris Jansson fell near the penalty area in the 39th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Sannes FK's protests and gave Boris Jansson a yellow card for diving instead. After some fancy dribbling in the 41st minute, Mikael Almkvist managed to get in a good position for a shot. Mjöbäck's supporters rose to their feet, but Mikael Almkvist was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Inge Berglund breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Mjöbäck's Oskar Dahlkvist shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 47th minute of play. The shot was stopped by Inge Berglund but with some difficulty. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Jan-Åke Söderkvist stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Paul Ekberg sent away a hard shot on goal in the 51st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Mjöbäck's Walter Caspersson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jan-Åke Söderkvist in the 54th minute of play. In a very dangerous position, a player in Sannes FK fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 58th minute. Penalty! Göran Kjellqvist shot the penalty kick right outside the post. After 61 minutes, Patrick Vestlund mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Sannes FK and the Mjöbäck players grew even worse after the yellow card. Patrick Vestlund hit a great freekick 61 minutes into the match. In the 62ndth minute of the game Leif Forsman who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Sannes FK's Inge Berglund was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Paul Ekberg received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 65th minute. Inge Berglund tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 66 played minutes Sannes FK got a freekick which was hit by Patrick Vestlund. If Harald Bollström had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 73rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Walter Caspersson made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jan-Åke Söderkvist in the 73rd minute of play. Inge Berglund took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Paul Ekberg, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. With a little luck, Mjöbäck's Walter Caspersson got control of the ball when Harald Bollström tried to sneak it across the goal line. Mikael Almkvist might have been able to make a better finish in the 81st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Inge Berglund. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Mikael Almkvist ran back to his position shaking his head. Walter Caspersson made an important save on a dangerous shot by Harald Bollström in the 85th minute. In the 91st minute, Oskar Dahlkvist had to leave the field with a concussion. In the 93rd minute, Jan-Åke Söderkvist hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Sannes FK's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
