Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Jens-Erik Igelström made the kick off which started today's match. When Karl-Ove Vestlund, who was free, got the in front of the goal in the 2 minute he wasn't focused and tipped the ball just over the goal. The Hans Axelsson was delighted since the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. Folke Forsberg in the 13thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Hans Axelsson, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Folke Forsberg recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 14th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Hans Axelsson showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Karl-Ove Vestlund, who was totally free with the ball in the 18th minute. Karl-Ove Vestlund recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 20th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After 21 played minutes Lyrestad got a freekick which was hit by Folke Forsberg. Folke Forsberg sent away a hard shot on goal in the 23rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Mönsterås FK's Hans Axelsson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Karl-Ove Vestlund in the 25th minute of play. When the match had gone on for 30 minutes, Karl-Ove Vestlund took a quick shot and it went in 1-0 without a chance for Hans Axelsson to make any attempt to save it. Hans Axelsson made a fantastic save in the 34th minute, when Folke Forsberg sent off a good shot on target. Karl-Ove Vestlund sent away a hard shot on goal in the 35th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Folke Forsberg blasted a shot towards the goal in the 36th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Hans Axelsson having to make a save. 37 minutes into the match, Karl-Ove Vestlund dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Hans Axelsson, 2-0. The audience thought a goal was coming when Folke Forsberg got free with Hans Axelsson in the 40th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. If Karl-Ove Vestlund had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 41st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With a little luck, Mönsterås FK's Hans Axelsson got control of the ball when Folke Forsberg tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 45th minute, Mönsterås FK's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Folke Forsberg fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. The audience thought a goal was coming when Folke Forsberg got free with Hans Axelsson in the 47th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Karl-Ove Vestlund made a kick off. In the 52nd minute, Karl-Ove Vestlund ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Hans Axelsson was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-0. Freddie Vidman fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 61st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nils Örtendahl having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Lyrestad's David Colin got a free kick in the 65th minute. After 66 played minutes, Mönsterås FK's Folke Edström shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Nils Örtendahl came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Mönsterås FK reached it. Freddie Vidman succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 3-1 in the 68th playminute. After some careless play in the Mönsterås FK defense, Karl-Ove Vestlund kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Hans Axelsson. The Mönsterås FK fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Hans Axelsson should have stopped the shot. Bo-Erik Nordin's late challenge caught a Mönsterås FK's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Bo-Erik Nordin helped the player get up and apologised. In the 75th minute, Bo-Erik Nordin hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Freddie Vidmans short, quick shot in the 77thth minute got Nils Örtendahl to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Per Gustavsson during the 79th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 79 played minutes Mönsterås FK got a freekick which was hit by Per Gustavsson. When Freddie Vidman came up free with the goalie in the 82nd minute, the Mönsterås FK fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Freddie Vidman couldn't finish the play. Hans Axelsson showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Karl-Ove Vestlund in the 85th minute of the match. 87 minutes into the match, Lyrestad's Folke Forsberg sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Hans Axelsson narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Folke Edström hit a great freekick 88 minutes into the match. Hans Axelsson made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Karl-Ove Vestlund in the 90th minute of play. Hans Axelsson didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Karl-Ove Vestlund went, in the 94th minute, to the upper right corner, 5-1 was the resulting score. Mönsterås FK's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
